Butyl is a synthetic rubber, a copolymer of isobutylene with isoprene.
Butyl provides highest permeation resistance to vapors and gases, as well as exceptional resistance to a broad range of toxic chemicals, making it only suitable glove choice for many critical applications.
Butyl is highly resistant to ketones (MEK, MIBK, acetone) and esters (tricresyl phosphate, amyl acetate, ethyl acetate) .Butyl also has soft and flexible feel, even at low temperatures, which reduces hand fatigue and enhances worker comfort.
Butyl is essential when: there is hazard , the product is of a critical nature , and where there is need for zero contamination .essential. Butyl is ideally suited for the handling of corrosive acids, ketones and esters. Butyl offers the highest level of chemical permeation resistance to water, vapor and gases. Resistant to oxygenated solvents and most oxidizing chemicals.
